Interpretation: God filled Bezalel with His Spirit, giving him wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. The Spirit gave him ability in all kinds of craftsmanship. The verse shows that abilities come from God. God equips people for the work He calls them to do. When God gives a task, He provides the ability to complete it. The Spirit's filling enables people to serve effectively. True ability comes from God's Spirit, not just natural talent. Those who serve God receive the abilities they need from Him.

1 Chronicles 22:12

Interpretation: David prays that God will give Solomon wisdom and understanding. He asks God to enable Solomon to lead Israel well. The verse shows that leadership ability comes from God. Wisdom and understanding are gifts from God, not natural talents. Those who lead need God's help to lead well. The ability to keep God's law comes from God's wisdom. True leadership ability requires God's wisdom. David recognized that Solomon would need God's help to be a good king.

Exodus 36:1
KJV: Then wrought Bezalel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded.
NKJV: And Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whom the LORD has put wisdom and understanding, to know how to do all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, shall do according to all that the LORD has commanded.
NIV: So Bezalel, Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the LORD has given skill and ability to know how to carry out all the work of constructing the sanctuary are to do the work just as the LORD has commanded.
Interpretation: God gave Bezalel, Aholiab, and other skilled workers the ability to build the sanctuary. The Lord put wisdom and understanding in them. They received the ability to do all the work God commanded. The verse shows that God provides abilities for His work. When God gives a task, He equips people to complete it. The workers received both skill and understanding from God. True ability to serve God comes from Him. Those whom God calls, He also enables.

Daniel 1:4

Interpretation: Nebuchadnezzar selected young men with natural abilities. They were intelligent, well-educated, and physically impressive. The king wanted those who showed aptitude for learning. The verse shows that people have natural abilities from birth. However, natural ability alone is not enough. These young men would face choices about using their abilities for God or for the world. Having ability does not guarantee using it wisely. True success comes when we use our abilities to honor God.

Ephesians 4:7

Interpretation: Christ gives each believer a measure of grace. Each person receives abilities from Christ. The verse shows that abilities are gifts from Christ, not earned. Every believer receives abilities to serve the body of Christ. Christ distributes abilities according to His wisdom. The grace given is sufficient for the work Christ calls us to do. We receive abilities not for ourselves but to serve others. Each person's abilities are part of Christ's plan for the church.
